Fall Native Plant Sale: Sat Sep 30

The Mayne Island Conservancy will be holding a Native Plant Sale on September 30th from 10 am to 1 pm at the Root Seller (corner of Fernhill Road and Village Bay Road). We will have a diversity of native trees, shrubs, and low growing plants available at discounted prices.

All of our plants are grown on Mayne Island from locally collected seeds and cuttings. Fall is the best time of year to plant trees and shrubs so they can begin to set down roots before next summer.

Biologist Rob Underhill will be on hand to offer advice on plant selection and post-planting care. If you cannot make the event but wish to purchase plants, or for further information, please contact Rob Underhill at biologist@conservancyonmayne.com or (250) 539-5168.

Yang style is more suitable for common people with no martial art training. In Yang style Tai Chi, the structure is not strict and demanding, the body is upright, and the movements are smooth, light, agile and rooted. Yang style 24 Form was created in China in 1956.
