Literary Festival Active Pass: Sun Apr 23


The world's second Literary Festival Active Pass is happening at the Mayne Island Library on Sunday, April 23rd from 9 am to 4 pm. Eight local authors will be presenting readings as part of Festival Active Pass. Relax in the beautiful renovated library setting, enjoy the readings and maybe buy a book and have it autographed. No charge -- but limited seating. Hope to see you there.

Schedule:
9 am: Dorothy Peters and Livia Wolfs present the memoir "Daughters in the House of Jacob: A Memoir of Migration" and the children's book "When I'm Big".

10 am: D. R. Graham, author of young adult books, presents books, from romance to psychological thrillers, with issues relevant to teens today.

11 am: Leanne Dyck will give us some insight into what she has been writing since the last festival.

12 am: Grant Buday is the prize-winning author of "The Delusionist" and (with John O'Brian) the soon to be released "Atomic Road".

1 pm: Amber Harvey, author of the popular Magda mysteries set on Mayne Island will share some her recent work.

2 pm: Jack Schofield, author, editor and pilot will read from his works about life as a seaplane pilot in B.C. and the Arctic.

3 pm: Arleen Pare, prize-winning poet and novelist, will read from some of her recent works.
