The Mayne Island Bus Needs You

The Mayne Island Community Bus has a successful operating track record over the past 3 plus years servicing hundreds of people from the ferry, folks without a car, as the “designated driver” for weddings, parties and special events, and much more.

We also need your help.

We currently have several dedicated volunteer drivers and we need a few more. If you have a class 4 drivers license or better, and are willing donate some time helping your community, please give us a call.

The MICB is a fully licensed bus under the Provincial Passenger Transportation Department . We provide the training, and support - we even provide the bus. Support your community by reducing traffic and helping those that need a ride. Please call Mayne Island Community Bus at (250) 539-0851 and speak with one of our volunteers.

Do you have guests coming?

The Mayne Island Community Bus provides a regular pick up service from the ferry every weekend. Several Island visitor accommodation facilities use our service and you will have seen the throngs of passengers climbing aboard on holiday weekends.

So if you plan to catch a ferry as a walk-on passenger, we can get you to and from Village Bay and your accommodations via one of our 5 identified routes covering the major areas of Mayne Island. Reducing Mayne Island traffic is what we do and for those folk that need it, the bus is wheelchair lift equipped. For further information please contact Richard de Armond (250) 539-0851.
