Water is Life: Honouring Clean Water. Sun Oct 2

Water is Life: Honouring Clean Water.
Where: Emma and Felix Jack Park.
Temporary Art Installation and Community Gathering.
When: Sunday October 2, 2016 to Monday October 3, 2016.

Community Gathering begins at 1 pm on Sunday.

Details: a two day art installation will fill the stream-bed running parallel to Village Bay Road with empty water bottles. Please feel free to bring your own empty water bottle to add to the stream. Clean water is vital to all living creatures and plants!

About John Aitken: As an artist, my work is about creating work which is non-confrontational and creates an opportunity for heightened awareness and dialogue.

More details: The Mayne Island Recycling Centre will be supplying the water bottles on a temporary basis. The installation will be removed Monday October 3rd by 3 pm. Mayne Island School staff and students have agreed to participate in this project. The teachers will take the students on a field trip to Emma and Felix Jack Park the Monday morning. Many thanks to Mayne Island Parks and Recreation Commission.
