Planning for Desolation Sound: Sun Apr 17

Are you thinking of heading north this boating season or sometime in the future? If so, this is the course for you.

Desolation Sound offers an experience beyond civilization, within the sheltered, warm waters of the Salish Sea. Desolation Sound Marine Park is considered by many boaters to be one of the top cruising grounds in the world. The waters of Desolation Sound are calm and sheltered with lots of protected anchorages and plentiful oysters, clams, crabs, prawns and salmon. Warm waters make Desolation Sound an ideal May or September destination. That is when you can have the sound of whales blowing, the taste of freshly caught fish and crab and the sight of foraging bears all to yourself.

Find out what awaits you at Prideaux Haven, Tenedos Bay, Okeover Arm, Grace Harbour, Pendrell Sound, Roscoe Bay, Teakerne Arm on the Redonda Islands and Mansons Landing and Squirrel Cove on Cortes.

This four hour planning session will cover tips, techniques, equipment and anecdotes from those who have cruised these waters. You will learn everything you need to know to plan your successful trip.
