2016 Nature Photo Contest

Starting in March 2016 and closing on August 21st 2016, the Mayne Island Conservancy Society will once again be running an amateur Nature Photo Contest for Mayne Island residents and visitors. If you have a camera, like exploring Mayne Island, and want to share your enthusiasm for the natural world, this is the event for you! Categories for the contest are: native plant(s), native animal(s), manipulated photo, ocean/beach scene, insects, and kids only (nature photo taken by anyone 16 or under).

To enter, check out the contest rules, take a photo (or photos) during 2016 on Mayne Island, tell us the category into which you are entering it, and send it to lauren@conservancyonmayne.com prior to August 21st, 2016. If your photo is chosen as a winner by our judges, Brian Crumblehulme, Kat Ferneyhough, and Meadow Dove Lang; it will be published in our 2017 calendar and you will receive a free calendar as a prize.

Rules are listed on our website (conservancyonmayne.com), and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MayneIslandConservancy); also our posters will be displayed on the island in all the usual spots.
