MIQG host Trunk Show & Tea: Tue Sep 8

Judy Irish will be visiting from Arlington, Washington, and she calls herself a fabric/quiltaholic. Quilters on Mayne have “stashes” but Judy’s fabric stash fills a 1600 square foot studio. The studio also houses a long arm quilting machine and several other sewing machines.

Judy will share her travel adventures and teaching travels which all include, of course, shops and vendors to help build that stash. Judy will also share her long arm quilting experiences for quilt book authors Kaffe Fassett, Liza Prior Lucy and Freddy Moran and she will have many of her quilts to show and share with our group. Yes, Judy is responsible for the quilting on all those quilts you see photos of in all of their books. Judy can produce more quilts in a week than most of us do in a year!

Not a quilter? Like fabric and colour? Maybe you sew/quilt part-time? You are invited to join the MIQG for the Judy Irish “Kaffe Kolour“ Trunk Show and Tea on Tuesday, September 8th from 2 pm to 4 pm. Non-members $5 for the Tea/Trunk show.
