Festival Library Readings April 18 & 19


The Library will be presenting readings from ten local authors, April 18th and 19th as part of Festival Active Pass. Come to the Library, listen to them read, ask questions, maybe buy a book. There is no charge--but seating is limited.

Here is a schedule to help you plan:

April 18: 4 -- 5:30 Cathy Ford will read from her poem "Flowers We Never Know the Names Of".
Adrienne Brown will read from "The Life and Art of Harry and Jesse Webb”.

April 19: 9 am Pam Withers will read from her newest young adult novel "Andreo's Race".

10 am Amber Harvey will read from her mystery novel for young readers, "Magda's Mysterious Stranger".

11 am Leanne Dyck will read two short stories and a flash fiction.

12 am Kit Pearson will read from two novels set on Mayne Island, "The Whole Truth" and "Nothing But the Truth".

1 pm Helen O'Brian & Debbie Bowles will present "Fin's Swim: 21 Days on the Fraser River" and Debbie will read from her picture book, "Lucy and the Sky".

2 pm Lee Beavington will read from "Poetic Inquiry into Nature's Wisdom" and discuss ecology and creativity.

3 pm Arleen Pare will read from her recent (GG winning) book of poetry, "Lake of Two Mountains".
