Please Sign the Petition!

Island Health recently eliminated the First Call Nurse position on Mayne Island, leaving us without on-site medical care at weekends.

The Mayne Island Health Centre Association is actively protesting this move, which we believe will jeopardize the health of both islanders and visitors — and result in increased costs to the Health Care System.

You can help! Petitions to re-instate weekend coverage are ready for your signatures at the Health Centre and most business locations around the community.

Please sign the petition only one time — and encourage your friends and relatives to do likewise. Let’s not take this lying down!

Petition Updated Information:
Petitions to re-instate weekend coverage will be available for a few more days at the Health Centre, Home Hardware, the Post Office, FarmGate, The Trading Post, the Bakery, Tru Valu and The Bennett Bay Bistro. Deadline for submission of mail-in Petition signatures is February 28th.

Please sign the petition only one time, and encourage your friends and relatives to do likewise.
