Mayne Island Conservancy's Mad May Day - Sat May 18

Want to have some fun on the long weekend? Join us for the 7th annual Mayne Island Conservancy's May Day festivities.

Starting at the Farmers' Market, we will have face painting, garland and wand making, all by donation. When the market finishes, with a loud trumpet call the fun begins.

We will have Morris dancers, our very own Mayne Island Choir, drummers, and a May Pole. Be part of a noisy procession to Miners Bay Park for the coronation of our 2013 May Queen by last year's Queen. The Green Man and the Earth Sea Spirit will be there all in their finest costumes.

Do you have a funny hat you could wear? There will be lots of dancing and children's games followed by delicious cake and lemonade.

In addition, we have wonderful raffle prizes and lots of raffle ticket sellers!

For further information please contact Helen O'Brian (250) 539-5619.
