Dan Jason to Speak at the Garden Club - Wed Feb 20

As we begin a new season for the Mayne Island Garden Club and we all start itching to get back outdoors and into our gardens, our first speaker is, appropriately, Dan Jason, founder of the Seed and Plant Sanctuary for Canada and Salt Spring Island Seeds. He is "a dedicated educator on sustainable organic gardening and farming, food politics, seed saving, and a farmer of beautiful gardens full of vegetables, grains, medicinal and culinary herbs and flowers".

Dan's Salt Spring Seed Company specializes in heritage and heirloom open-pollinated and non-GMO seed varieties of vegetables and plants. He has a talk prepared and will bring along his catalogue and a sampling of seeds.

Join us on Wednesday, February 20th at 2 pm in the Ag Hall.

Membership in the Garden Club gives you a full year of informative speakers and garden tours for just $10.00.
