Campbell Bay Music Festival - June 25th and 26th

Welcome to the 2nd annual Campbell Bay Music Fest!

We are an independent, volunteer-run DIY music festival set on a beautiful waterfront property in BC's Gulf Islands. We present emerging artists in a diverse array of genres, from sweet folk singing to the sublimely danceable.

In 2009, a determined group of friends with a van full of lumber built a stage, dug some outhouses and set the scene for a festival that was more fun than anyone could have predicted - promoted by word of mouth alone. This year, we're expanding our performer lineup, improving our infrastructure, and reaching farther out into our community - care to join us?

The Campbell Bay Music Fest will, once again, be entirely by donation - and donations are hugely appreciated! Your donations are all that cover our costs and subsidize the musicians travel to the festival. Last year you were generous, please be generous this year so we can host again next year.

There will be music from 6pm to 11pm Friday and 4pm to 11pm Saturday. We will serve a "Field to Table" Feast on Saturday at 6 pm - Iredale Farm lamb, Deaconvale Farm salad, 'The Mom's' vegetarian chili, Haggis Farms bread and dessert surprise is on the menu. The Feast will be by donation too. There will be lots of other goodies available that evening, including individually autographed CD's and musicians merch.

This year it will be a 'festival under the full moon' - a magic weekend at the Iredale Farm, 327 Campbell Bay Road, Mayne Island BC.

The Ferry: A Different Point of View
A Photography Exhibition By Toby Snelgrove

June 11- July 7, 2010

A Trincomali Community Arts Council Sponsored Event

"Ferries rides to Swartz Bay, Tsawwassen or to other Gulf Islands is endemic to Mayne Island life. After many trips, however, the visual details of the vessels often become invisible to riders. Using digital photography and image processing software, Toby reveals shapes and designs within the ships that are at the same time, functional, beautiful and mysterious."

"His images invite the viewer to see beauty in the benign and to wonder about practical questions such as: "What flows through that pipe?"; "Why is that cable there?"; and, "Is that a skilful weld that holds the vehicle deck together?"— Bill Maylone
