MILT Opportunities

Mayne Island Little Theatre presents:

Adult Acting Workshop with Alison Kelly

A fun and playful weekend that looks into what you can do as an actor, how to develop character and how to tell the story without words. This workshop is designed for the novice, those who want to hone their skills and those that simply want to have fun. This is a hands-on physical workshop so dress comfortably with loose fitting clothing.

Alison Kelly has been an actor, instructor and playwright for 25 years. She is a long time instructor at Studio 58 Langara College, and created the internationally acclaimed “Mom's the Word,” “Mom's the Word, Unhinged,” and “Mom's the Word, Remixed.”

Saturday and Sunday May 29 and 30
Cost: Only $35 (subsidized by MILT!)
Reserve your space in the workshop by May 16th by contacting Brian at 250-539-3027 or at

Monthly Play Readings with Carol Munro

Come along and take part in a play reading session. Read a character or just listen! A friendly, informal chance to bring drama to life with fellow islanders.

Dates and location to be announced (depending on the number of folks who sign on and their availabilty)

With more than 20 year of experience in directing, Carol has won numerous awards for directing and design in the theatre. The goal of the play reading evenings is to a) have fun and b) try out scripts that MILT could potentially stage and c) increase interest and participation in community theatre on Mayne.
